Out with my Trekking Socks

Here we are at Secret Lake, also sometimes spelled Cecret Lake: Obviously the 'ole Trekking Socks need some finer boots. My old ones are in sad need of shoe goo. Or, you know, honerable retirement. But tennis shoes worked just fine. Some ankle support would have been welcome going up the switchbacks, but Cary made it in Converse, so...No whining!

The hike was awesome--It's up Little Cottonwood Canyon in Albion Basin. You actually hike under some Alta chairlifts. It's amazing. And the wildflowers were out! Posted by Picasa

This was the first hike we ever did here in Utah just over a year ago & I loved it. We got hooked on the wild flowers & then hiked three days in a row for the wild flower festival! I'm kicking myself for missing it this year. Thought it was THIS weekend. Argghhhhh. Happy hiking!
